consumption returns as thermal energy
The Kullhaus DDQ10L zeolite dehumidifier returns the energy it consumes during dehumidification (420W Low, 740W High) to the room as thermal energy: the air leaving the dehumidifier is free of moisture and about 10°C warmer, diffusing into the room, thus heating the room air.
auto function
automatically varies the fan speed and the power of the thermal resistance in order to achieve optimum performance and lowest consumption. When the relative room humidity is 10% higher than the desired humidity, the dehumidifier uses the high fan speed [High.] When it is higher by 5% or less, it uses the low speed [Low].
low noise
The Kullhaus DDQ10L dehumidifier is possibly the QUIETEST DESICCANT DEHUMIDIFIER. It’s not just that it doesn’t have use a compressor. Equally important is the top quality of the plastic parts and the robust construction of the dehumidifier which eliminate any squeaking or resonance of the plastics during the operation of the device.
safe operation
- Safety through overheating protection
- In the event of a fall, the operation of the dehumidifier stops automatically
- Overflow protection: when the water tank is full, the dehumidifier switches off automatically
- Degree of protection IP20
Dehumidifier & Air Purifier
- ionizer
- antibacterial pre-filter
- active carbon filter

Kullhaus DDQ10L
The Energy Saving Smart Operation
Set the relative humidity you want, ideally 50-55%. The dehumidifier will run for as long as needed and when the humidity drops to the desired level, the compressor will stop, the fan will run for about 1 minute on low setting and the Kullhaus DDQ10L desiccant dehumidifier will go into sleep mode for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes only the fan will run for about 1 minute to check the relative room humidity. If the relative humidity has increased by +1% above the desired level, the dehumidifier will enter dehumidification mode. Otherwise, the fan will run for about 1 minute on low and the dehumidifier will go back to sleep for 15 minutes and so on.

the problem
Excessively humid indoor air
When the relative humidity is above 60%, the indoor air is classified as very humid. Such a high value creates the conditions for mold growth and endangers both people and the house (furniture, masonry, etc.). If the humidity is too high, it can trigger asthma attacks. Even worse, the link between mold exposure and symptoms of severe allergic reactions of the respiratory tract has been shown to exist even in healthy people.
desiccant dehumidifier
The Kullhaus DDQ10L is a desiccant dehumidifier. The air is filtered by the pre-filter and activated carbon filter and is directed to the spinning wheel filled with the Zeolite desiccant material.
Unlike compressor dehumidifiers, it uses a desiccant wheel inside to absorb the moisture in the air like a sponge, then use an internal heater to resume the dryness of the wheel, while the excess moisture ends up in the special container of the dehumidifier, where the water is collected..
Due to its ability to prevent frost inside, the heating process makes the air passing through the dehumidification wheel to be warm and dry and the unit can remain high efficiency under low temperature.
when do I need a desiccant dehumidifier?
It is important to note that the desiccant dehumidifier is most suitable for areas lacking consistent or adequate heating. To adhere to a general guideline, employ the desiccant dehumidifier in spaces with temperatures below 15°C. This particular type of dehumidifier remains unaffected when operating at 1°C and above.
desiccant or compressor dehumidifier: which one should I choose?
It is important to note that dehumidifiers with compressors are designed to function within a temperature range of 5 to 35℃. However, it should be understood that as the room temperature decreases, the amount of water collected by the dehumidifier also decreases. In simpler terms, when the temperature falls below 15℃, the effectiveness of a compressor dehumidifier diminishes, resulting in a decrease in its dehumidification capacity. In contrast, the Kullhaus DDQ10L dehumidifier, which utilizes desiccant technology, remains unaffected by temperatures and operates optimally between 1 to 40℃ without any reduction in performance.
what is dehumidification capacity?
The dehumidification capacity of a dehumidifier is the amount of moisture the unit can remove from an enclosed space in 24 hours. It is important to remember that Kullhaus DDQ10L desiccant dehumidifier remains unaffected by temperatures and operates optimally between 1 to 40℃ without any reduction in performance.
where do i place the dehumidifier?
When the Kullhaus DDQ10L desiccant dehumidifier is first used on site, it should preferably operate in the room where the greatest problem with excessive moisture exists. Then, place the dehumidifier in the most central part of the house and set the desired humidity level at 55%. Usually, this point is at the beginning of the hallway that connects all the rooms. In homes with multiple hallways, you may need to place the dehumidifier in a different location. Important: The room doors should be open to allow the dehumidifier to absorb the moisture, and all windows should be closed.
Important: When the dehumidifier is in operation, the windows should be closed for obvious reasons. We can ventilate the room for a few minutes in the morning and turn off the dehumidifier beforehand. In this way, the moisture from outside will not be able to enter the interior. As soon as we finish airing, we turn on the dehumidifier again.
how many hours should the dehumidifier run?
The answer is: so many hours until the humidity has dropped to the ideal, healthy level of about 50-55%. How many hours the dehumidifier should run depends on the relative humidity, the insulation of the house and the humidity in your area. At Kullhaus, we recommend that our customers run the dehumidifier continuously in automatic mode. In any case, all Kullhaus dehumidifiers have a digital setting of the desired room humidity and maintain it exactly. When the dehumidifier reaches the desired humidity, it switches off. In this way, the humidity in the house is kept at a healthy level and the house is protected.
Permanent Drainage
Connect the 12 mm diameter hose to the special socket of the dehumidifier, making sure that the other end of the hose flows into the drain. The hose should flow towards the drain, the water should be able to flow down and not be trapped in the hose. For this reason, the dehumidifier should be placed at a relative height (and not on the floor) so that the hose is pointing downward. Make sure that the tube is not blocked so that the water can flow down freely.
cleaning the dehumidifier
In order to ensure optimal and lasting performance of the dehumidifier, it is essential to regularly clean the air filter. It is advised to inspect and clean the filters every two weeks. It is imperative to never operate the device without the air filters. Under no circumstances should water be poured into the device.
- Turn off the device, detach the filter cover, and remove the dust and activated carbon filter from the unit.
- Thoroughly wash and gently wipe the cover.
- Utilize a vacuum cleaner, rather than water, to clean the dust and activated carbon filter. The activated carbon filter should be replaced after one year of use.
- Reinstall the filters and cover.
